ABOUT OUR ROOMS
TRAPPED IN A ROOM WITH A ZOMBIE combines the pressure of "Minute to Win It" and the sleuthing of a Sherlock Holmes mystery to create a pulse-pounding team-building activity that will keep your mind racing and adrenaline flowing.
If the idea of a zombie really scares you, rest assured: This is not a haunted house. This experience is designed for fun and excitement, not horror or gore.
ESCAPE FROM SCIENCE LAB ALPHA offers a slightly more traditional escape-room experience, pitting you against the clock instead of a zombie. But you're still in for a unique adventure, one that's different from any you've experienced.
Both of our interactive-theater sessions cast your group as the protagonists in an exciting plot that evolves differently based on your personalities and past experiences. Bring some friends, family members, or co-workers and prepare to see a side of them you may not have seen before.
This event is ideal for:
Team building / corporate outings
The coolest date-night ever
An exciting family adventure
Birthday parties (ages 10 and up, please)
Crazy fun with friends
At the end of every session, our staff analyzes each participant's ability to solve problems, communicate effectively under pressure, and demonstrate the spirit of a cohesive unit. Prepare for one of the most high-value team-building experiences you have ever done!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What the heck is it?
An incredibly fun experience. You're locked in a room for 60 minutes. Within the room are various clues to discover and puzzles to solve. The challenge: Find what you need to escape within the allotted time.
How are you different from other escape rooms?
Great question! We employ actors to create a more immersive, personalized experience, one that concludes with an evaluation of your performance and contributions to the escape effort. We don't just stick you in a room and watch you with cameras; this is a kind of live, first-person theater. See our reviews!
How much does it cost?
Tickets are $28 per person and must be purchased in advance. We do not offer group discounts.
How many people can do the show at once?
Trapped holds up to 12 people; Science Lab Alpha can accommodate up to 10. We recommend coming with a group, but don't be afraid of strangers!
What if I have more than 10 or 12 people?
For larger groups, we can divide you into two teams across our two rooms. Want to bring 30, 40 or even more? We'll arrange a schedule of back-to-back shows for you. Contact us! (Alternately, see the next item.)
What happens if I arrive late?
We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled showtime, keeping in mind that traffic and parking around the Penobscot Building can cause delays. We will do our very best to hold the show for you, but if you miss your scheduled time, there are NO REFUNDS.
What if I need to reschedule?
If it's more than three days before your scheduled show date, we can reschedule you for a fee of $10 per ticket. Within three days, rescheduling is not allowed.
Can I schedule a private show?
We scheduled a private show, but not everyone was able to attend. Can I get a refund?
We cannot offer refunds for unused tickets.
Can you come to our office or an offsite location?
Our games don't travel, but check out our sister company, Escape Games To Go! They offer amazing escape room-style experiences that go just about anywhere: meeting room, conference center, restaurant, etc. And they can accommodate up to 50 players simultaneously.
What are the age requirements?
Our rooms are suitable for ages 10 and up. Anyone under the age of 14 must be supervised by a parent or adult guardian. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a liability release waiver signed by their parent/legal guardian. A minimum of two adults must accompany and participate with groups of children (including birthday parties) under the age of 14. Infants and toddlers will not be allowed in the room; zombies do not like baby food.
How can I get myself thrown out?
Aw, you wouldn't do that, would you? We take the safety of our guests and performers very seriously, so please note the following rules:
Anyone who arrives intoxicated or smelling of alcohol will be denied entry, with no option for rescheduling or refund.
Anyone who intentionally damages props or furniture will be asked to leave and may incur repair fees.
Anyone who behaves inappropriately toward our performers or other participants will be asked to leave.
No weapons of any kind are permitted.
What if I am pregnant?
There is no access to a bathroom or seating for a full hour, and there may be some light jostling during the show. Trapped in particular is a physical experience, and if you're pregnant, participation is at your own risk.
What if I am epileptic?
There are no strobe/flashing lights used in the show. However, there are alarms and other loud noises that occur during the course of the event.
What should I wear?
Clothes! Anything is fine, but we strongly advise against wearing high-heeled shoes.
Will I really get eaten by the zombie if I don’t escape?
Cannibalism has been outlawed since 1804, so the zombie is not legally permitted to eat you.
Are you hiring?
We are always looking for hungry zombies and lively, improv-savvy hosts! If you're interested in acting for us, please submit your resume, headshot, and a brief statement of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org.
*If you've purchased discount tickets, a private booking requires 12 people (10 for Science Lab Alpha).
